MD-21 DC TEMP

The MD-21 is a 20 mA TTY (current loop) converter that allows you to connect RS-232 systems to a 20 mA current loop interface over a distance of up to 6 km. The serial interface is a standard RS-232 with five control signals. Since the communication is totally transparent, it is not necessary to configure different settings, you only need to define if the current loop is active or passive. The MD-21 is designed for use in heavy industrial applications. The different power options, galvanic isolation, galvanic protection, ensures that communication is always active even in the worst environments. The MD-21 has been tested to meet many EMC, insulation, vibration and shock standards, all at the highest levels suitable for industrial environments. The design of the current loop converter makes the MD-21 suitable for a variety of applications with various bit options for speed and data. The converter can be used as a standard converter from RS-232 to 20 mA or connected in a ring creating a multi-drop network. Being able to act as a current source on both the transmission and reception circuits makes the MD-21 suitable for any TTY application.
