Description

The Westermo MCI-422 is not only a compact 4-port switch, but also a 2-port RJ45 fiber optic converter. As a switch, the MCI-422 is a 10/100 Mbit / s industrial 4-port Fast Ethernet fiber switch that incorporates a 3.2 Gbit / s processor. In converter mode it is a 10/100 TX 100 2-channel multimedia converter, with Remote Link Loss Forwarding technology. The unit is simply configurable using DIP switches. The MCI-422 has two redundant power inputs with a wide DC range of 10 to 60V, and also has an alarm relay to activate a fault signal in the event of a failed connection or power failure. Two versions are available for single-mode or multimode fibers. The MM version for multimode fibers up to 2KM and the SM version for single mode fiber at 30 km.
