Ring / Multidrop Fibre Converter PROFIBUS 1 x PROFIBUS DP 9 600 bit/s – 12 Mbit/s

The ODW-710-F2 has been designed to allow transmission of the multidrop or ring-mounted PROFIBUS DP protocol over a fiber optic connection. The design allows the use of a range of Westermo SFP (Small Form Pluggable) transceivers that can provide connections to only one fiber and distances up to 120 km. This unit has been designed for industrial use requiring long life and reliability in harsh environments. To guarantee this reliability, we use components of the highest quality. The ODW-710 can be used on all PROFIBUS DP networks to extend the size of the operating network beyond the normal limits of the copper cable. All data rates defined in EN50170 are supported. The ODW is simple to install as it is small and with a simple integrated DIN rail clip. The standard PROFIBUS DP connector connects directly to the 9-pin D-sub port and the unit automatically detects data speed, so no configuration is required. LEDs provide a quick and easy way to detect any network problems that may occur.
